June 06 Weekend Report
Hey howdy hey all. My good friend Liz once told me that the highlight of her week was getting a weekend report from me every Monday. In fact, she enjoyed it so much that she started one of her own. She's actually one of the few people who ever bothers responding to my silly little Monday morning emails, despite the hoards of emails I get from people when I DON'T send them out. Well last week, rather than getting a little "weekend report" from Liz, she sends out this, "I've been working on learning how to do a Blog for my report..." email. I figured if Liz could copy me on the report front, I could copy her on the Blog front! Turn about is fair play!!! Anyway...I'm going to try this Blog thing out for a couple of weeks and see if I actually like it better than the old fashioned email version. Feel free to sound off on it and let me know which version is better...or as always...if you'd prefer to just get off my mailing list all together!
So here goes...the first official Reinhardt-Miller Weekend report via Blog...
Friday after a HELLACIOUS short week at work we met up at the house with Tia Kay and all of us walked up to the Brentwood/Crestview pool to go swimming. Adrian is enjoying the water SO much more these days.
Side note: For those curious about his first week at daycare...it could have gone better! He started on Wednesday...didn't get to follow his schedule too close...well, let's be honest, it wasn't followed at all! He didn't nap all day Wednesday, and was a wee bit cranky Wednesday night. Thursday was even worse. I'm not sure who Jed picked up from Daycare, but it wasn't our sweet, happy, laughing boy. It was some demon-spawn from the Hellmouth of Sunnydale. I swear I thought I saw Buffy trolling our front yard. Friday was SO much better. He followed his entire schedule (almost) and even got in a 30 minute nap. He was so happy when we picked him up and took him to the pool!
So after the pool we we all met up with Leslie at Rock Dog. ROCK DAWG ROCKS Y'ALL! It was so yummy licious AND nutritious. We headed back to the Casa and Kay said her farewells. Leslie stuck around and we watched a cute little movie we had Tivo'd, "Win a Date With Tad Hamilton". Not SO horrible...Leslie went home after the show and we all crashed.
Saturday morning, despite being promised, told, and otherwise, guaranteed a hot cup of coffee when I woke up...alas I had to get up and go get it myself...Not that I let it ruin my ENTIRE day! We had a fairly relaxing morning. We took all the dogs and Adrian on a family walk around the neighborhood. Some minor challenges with that. Nothing that can't be tweaked. Got home, fed him and put him down for a nap. Heather called and came by within seconds of putting him down. We went and got some Chipotle for lunch and brought it home and snacked. I went to the grocery store and stocked up. When I got home we woke up 80 and we all went back to the pool for another day of fun in the sun. I bought 80 this REALLY cute little blow up "car" for the pool that he ABSOLUTELY loved (sorry grandmas...Jed forgot to bring the camera!). So we had a GREAT time at the pool. Headed home, Heather took off. Adrian took ANOTHER nap...as did daddy!!! When I woke up we got the family ready and headed downtown for Pridefest. We stopped at Jimmy John's to pick up a couple of sandwiches before finding ourselves a spot on the sidewalk to watch the parade. Some cute biker chick in town for the ROT Bike Rally fell in love with Adrian. He makes friends wherever he goes! We got home relatively late for us...915! CLUTCH THE PEARLS! It's sad that I now consider 915 on a Saturday late!!! HAHAHA
Sunday morning I DID get woken up with my beloved coffee! YIPPEE. We had a GREAT day relaxing around the house. I took Adrian to the pool again...tried AGAIN to get pictures, but the battery in my camera was dead. Jed's Aunt Carol stopped by to visit and meet the baby. After she left I made us some dinner. Adrian full on crashed at 7 in the evening, so we put him down early and cleared almost the entire season of Deadwood off of TIVO before crashing ourselves.
So that's all folks. I have posted some new pics of 80 at http://share.shutterfly.com/os.jsp?i=EeINmTVuzbNH7g&open=1
