June 13 Weekend Report
Hey howdy hey all. Hope you had a great weekend. First, I've been asked to post a retraction. Liz SWEARS that she didn't get the weekend report idea from me, she got it from her own dad...so sorry Liz, for making you sound like you were copying me!
Another busy, busy weekend here in CenTex. Friday night we did family night with a few additional players. With TT being out of town, we had Darla, Heather, Kay, Frank, Julie, and Sonja joining me, Jed & Leslie for dinner at the casa. We decided to have a "make your own pizza" night and had LOTS of interesting choices to pick from. Anywhere from plain ol' pepperoni pizza, to the more adventurous salmon & goat cheese with anchovies! Fun times. Jed wasn't feeling well, so he bailed on the group early...
Saturday morning we woke up and played around the house. Jed still wasn't feeling well, but still managed to get me some coffee. We went to Target and did a little shopping and went looking for some new shoes for Adie (no luck). In the afternoon we went to Pridefest downtown where Jed volunteered at the kiddy corner helping the kids out with various little art projects while Adie and I kept rolling and going trying to find shady spots throughout the park. Afterwards I dropped them off at home and ran to the grocery store to pick up supplies for the week. Came home, made dinner. Watched the absolute worst movie ever (thanks to EVERYONE who recommended "Meet the Fockers"...WHAT WERE Y'ALL THINKING?)
Sunday morning I woke up UBER early and met up with Heather and Leslie to go cheer our good friend Kay on in her very first Triathalon. We got to the park shortly before 7 and hooked up with our friends Monica and Jim and hiked over to the staging area. We got there just in time to see Kay take off for her swim. About 45 minutes later we saw her running back on shore towards the biking transition area and cheered her on. We then caught up with her mom and Corrie to run to the bike finishing area to watch her come in. We had a good hour to wait, and the sun was getting uber hot. It just kept getting hotter and hotter throughout the morning. Poor Kay! Nonetheless she finished the biking leg in about an hour as well and was off to the running. We trekked over to the finishing chute of the running leg and waited for her to run in. We were all very proud of her. Afterwards we all went to Maudie's for dinner and to visit. Jed and 80 caught up with us so he could congratulate his Tia Kay. When I got home at 2 I crashed. Adrian wasn't the only one who needed a nap! Woke up and Jed and I made some lasagna for dinner and settled into some Sunday night shows.
That's all folks. Hope you had a great weekend too. Let me know about it when you've got time.

For kids shoes, try Walmart. It makes me crazy to shop there, but I can usually find shoes for the kids if no luck at Target. Payless is good too. ROTSA RUCK!! love ya! Banana
